China and Cambodia issued a joint communique: Strengthen hydropower, photovoltaic and other clean energy cooperation

 

 

On September 16, the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia issued a joint communique.

 

Enterprises of the two countries are encouraged to strengthen cooperation in agricultural industry, transportation infrastructure, electricity, energy and manufacturing, according to the communique. China supports Cambodia's railway construction, works with Cambodia on the preliminary planning and design of railways and the economic and technical feasibility study, promotes the construction of supporting infrastructure such as roads and sewage treatment, and strengthens cooperation on electricity and power grids. We will strengthen cooperation on clean energy, including hydropower and photovoltaic energy, and explore green, stable and reliable energy cooperation plans.
